A piping installation is placed between two sections of pipe which allows a change of direction, usually 90 ° or 45 °.Most elbows are within short or long. The short radius elbows have a center to end distance equal to the nominal pipe size (NPS) in inches, while the long radius is 1.5 inches in the NPS.The short elbows are available universally, long elbows are available in acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS plastic),polyvinyl chloride (PVC) for DWV,sewage and central vacuums, chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC) and copper, used between the 1950s and 1960s in homes with copper drain.
Plumbing fittings are used in piping systems and piping to connect the straight pipe or tube sections,to adapt to different sizes or shapes, and to regulate fluid flow.Plumbing fixtures, especially rare types can be costly and require time, materials and tools for installation,so it is a non-trivial part of piping and plumbing systems. Valves are technically fittings, but are usually treated separately.
Organisms that create fittings and tubing, use the same raw material to connect the pipes, for example:
1.Copper.
Two.Steel.
Three.Brass.
April.Polyvinyl chloride (PVC).
May.Chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC).
However, can be used any material which is allowed by the code, but must be compatible with other materials in the system ,the fluids are transported, temperatures and pressures inside and outside the system. For example, bronze body accessories are common, but they work in annoyance of copper piping systems.Fire hazards, earthquakes and other factors also influence the assembly materials.

Plumbing Code...
I know the rules in only one state on the right coast. The plumbing code in that state requires restaraunts with seating to have restroom facilities and I think depending on the amount of seating how many fixtures of each are needed. The ADA also has guidelines and one that I can think of says that if wall hung urinals are used at least one must be set at a particular height for "low people" (the exact phrasing escapes me at the moment.
When you say that "I do have a small washroom but it is mostly for private use only." it sounds as though some customers can use it and some can't. I can see that there might be a problem with that.
I am not a plumber but
What I was told is: vents can be shared but you cannot place many plumbing fixtures on a small diameter pipe.
Behind this unknown wall if there is a vent there that might be enough. Behind this wall if there is only ONE pipe for the drain I do not think that the plumbing inspector would allow the new bathroom to be tied into it for drain AND venting purposes. That would be called a wet and dry and they do not want it. (Of course you would not want toilet on first floor gurlging every time water comes down from above - thus the vent is needed.) The new bathroom would have to tie into a vent from someplace or run to the roof

I am an Interior Designer who would like to specialize in helping contractors design new homes (presold or spec). I currently work for a design center that offers cabinets, carpet, tile, hardood & slab countertops. I feel that I could be a single source for a contractor to go to for design help (since a lot of them don t want to deal with this end of it). I could also select paint colors, appliances, lighting & plumbing fixtures . I would love any ideas on how to market contractors!
Good Idea, Erika! My late mother really broke into that market when she did a "Street of Dreams" home. This is where high end contractors build a number of spec homes and dress them to the hilt. They get more "lookers" and therefore, future contracts. Mom got a great deal of exposure, too and formed a relationship with that builder that lasted a lifetime. Check with any/all building contractor organizations in the area, or large Realtors or perhaps even Building Supply centers. I believe the one she was involved with, was arranged through a large Realtor …

Hi all, I must preface this question with we only have one bathroom , so time is of the essense. Here s what we want done: - New shower/tub insert - New tile on floor and half way up walls (sorry - not sure what that s called) - Repair water damage (there s a leak in tub area - it s been going on for about 6 months) - New cabinet (will order) - Paint as needed (will keep current color) - Replace fixtures - Update plumbing (I think this will be limited) Other than the water damage, I don t think we ll have to replace/remove any sheetrock. Also, we re keeping the toilet (just replaced). So …
I did such a remodel job a few months ago and it took me and my crews 2 weeks to complete. Bathrrom was completely gutted and all new everthing, including drywall, was put back and completed.

We are thinking about remodeling a room that currently a hot tub room. We bought the house and the owner before was probably used it for medical reasons. the room is really just some plumbing and towel hooks and a old hot tub. we want to remove the hot tub and make it a full bath, or at least a 3/4 bath. any guesses on the price range we would fall in. just for standard materials nothing over the top
I think the best way to determine the cost is to draw a plan and identify what needs to be done. Perhaps you need to do following. Painting or use wallpaper. Fixtures (cabinets, towel bars etc). Avoid the very dark or heavy pieces. Instead, go for white or light wood colored cabinets and the lighter weight towel bars and accessories. They are much less likely to make a small space look weighed down. Mirror (size, how many mirrors etc.) Sink Type of the shower stall Floor (what needs to be done?) Plumbing requirements Put costing for each item and you will be able to come up with an …

I am going to be putting my house on the market soon to relocate. Its an older 2 bedroom home. I can t afford to do any expensive remodeling (ie`new kitchen counters, gutting the bathroom). So I was wondering if anyone had any tips for what I should do to attract buyers. What are the big turn on s and turn off s when you look at a home. This is the only home I ve ever bought so I m feeling a little overwhelmed. We have done some updating while we lived here, but its all been plumbing, wireing, the type of thing you can t see. I m looking for more cosmetic type advice. Thank you! Wow, thanks so …
People will be attracted to places that can visualize themselves in. Homey and comfortable. Get rid of any clutter, and make sure the outside looks welcoming, it is the first thing they see, so any toys or yard waste clean up , even plant a few flowers, and make sure windows and faucets etc are shiny clean. fresh flowers in cheap vases, throw pillows for sofa, chairs and beds, New fluffy towels in the bathroom . Plug in oil air fresheners to lightly scent the home through out, nothing heavy or overpowering just subtle. Clean carpets and if any bad spots on floors try nice yet inexpensive throw …
