I just redid my bathroom

I started buying fixtures 6 months before I had the work done. I haunted the home improvement discount bins, Expo Design Center returns, out-of-business sales...
I bought "ginger" towel bars and bath rings in brushed nickle, normally average price of $100+ each on clearance for $10 each.
I bought a "st. thomas design" faucet that someone had returned from a special order, lists for $189, I paid $69.
My favorite purchase was a $320 medicine cabinet (special order, returned to Expo) that I paid $180 for. They were asking $240 for it, and I was able to bargain them down!

I would like to remodel my bathroom - on a shoe string budget. Are you aware of any sites online that offer plumbing fixtures like whirlpool tubs and/or sinks, at outlet or heavily discounted prices? Also, if you know of any sources for these items in the Southeast, please let me know! Finally, please don t suggest Home Depot or Lowes.

I m renovation the second floor of my home 4 bedrooms, 2 baths, new dry wall, flooring, windows, bathroom fixtures(shower, sink, and toilet) and electrical and paint, Contractors said it would take two and a half months, its going on four months and theyre no even half way done?
- It sounds as though you have one of those great contractors who work on multiple jobs at the same time, instead of one at a time. My brother and I do contracting and remodeled a 2 sq ft home and did the landscaping in less than 4 months. Even when you have a bid, it seems very unprofessional of them to take this long, unless they have run into every problem imaginable. Next time try to build into the contract a discount for the project running over a certain amount of time. I have done this for my customers and have never had to pay out for it.
What is are affordable places to buy bedroom furniture, lamps, etc.?

I m redoing my entire room in coffee shop colors (Caramel, beige, chocolate brown, etc.) and am having trouble finding furniture for it. It needs to be affordable obviously, but stylish or sophisticated isn t bad either. I DON T want kiddy firniture. Places that offer bedframes, throws, pillows, lighting fixtures, rugs, chairs, desks, and other such things please.
- Affordable. Check out Goodwill and design it the way you want. Discount furniture stores. Bed, Bath and Beyond. Fabric stores to make your own or have made to get your own style. Make sure you add a splash of color to keep it from being boring. Have fun! Roxanne
Kitchen Faucet with Spayer makes noise and rattles pipes when turned on.?

I have a cheap kitchen faucet (I think it s a Living Home or Glacier Bay) 2 handle faucet with sprayer that makes a banging noise, rattles the pipes, and sputters a little when first turned on, and occationally while it s running. It sounds like air in the line, but I do NOT have a problem with any other fixtures in the house. I have pulled the diverter, and there wasn t any debris in it. Does anyone have any suggestions on what the problem could be and how I can fix it without changing the whole faucet? The problem happens when I use the faucet, not when I use the sprayer. Does that still …
- The fluttering is in the spring and seat in the sprayer and yes it can be replaced quite easily. Myself I would buy a better sprayer. You get what you pay for.
